What is the BOOM pledge?

We believe that as a Christian businessperson, God has specifically positioned you to uniquely impact the world with the gospel. Please consider standing in agreement with us on these principles.

I recognize that as a Christian businessperson, this is who I am:

I am created by God and He has wired me for His purpose. I am created to impact the kingdom of God through business. (Genesis 1:26-27)

I am in the driver’s seat of God’s kingdom. I am called to use my gifts of leadership to further His kingdom. (Matthew 4:18-22)

I am in the ministry; I just happen to _______ for a living. Therefore, I recognize that there is more to being in business than making a profit. (Matthew 28:18-20) (Mark 8:36)

As a Christian businessperson, I am called to:

Listen and ACT when I hear God’s call. (James 2:14-26)

Mentor and pour my knowledge and resources into those around me. (Proverbs 27:17)

Encourage, support, and empower others who are influenced through my business. I will not be a stumbling block to others. (1 Corinthians 8:9)

Give extravagantly through tithe, job opportunities, and giving. God loves a cheerful giver. (Proverbs 11:25)

Take on the heart of a servant. I will not operate out of a king’s mentality. (Matthew 20:24-28)

Unite with other believers. The devil wants nothing more than to isolate and destroy us, but together in Christ we are stronger. (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

Share my story. I’ve got a God story that needs to be told. (Revelation 12:11) (Psalm 66:16)

Always pay my bills. (Romans 13:7)

Serve regularly in my local church. (1 Peter 4:10)

Embrace and live a Spirit-led life. I yearn daily for the fruits of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Honor my spouse and family by serving, loving, and leading them to a growing relationship with Jesus. Leaving an inheritance is much more than money. (Proverbs 13:22)

Trust God. Even if I lose it all, I agree that God has a plan for my life, and this does not define me. (Joshua 1:9) (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Come and follow. If you aren’t running it God’s way yet, that’s alright. Jesus never said, “Go clean up, then come.” He just said, “Come and follow me.” (Matthew 9:9)
